Owners of industrial batteries and BESS.

Every producer or asset owner of an industrial battery or BESS above 2 kWh needs the Battery EPR Reserve. Stationary storage already in the field, projects about to be deployed, and ground-lease sites that also need restoration outside the Battery Regulation.

Existing fleets

Register installed energy storage so end-of-life treatment is funded and contractually arranged before modules reach residual value or failure.

New projects

Build EPR cover into commissioning. The reserve sits in the Swiss structure, not with the EPC or a single recycling plant.

Second life

Where modules move into a second-use path, a new electronic record is required, linked to the original. The financial assurance still needs a defined end-of-life. LOOBA keeps that obligation executable.
