Cell manufacturers and pack assemblers.

If you produce cells or assemble modules and packs for the EU market, you carry Extended Producer Responsibility. LOOBA takes the operational recycling problem off your books and reserves the cost in a Swiss collateral structure — independent of any single recycler.

Cell manufacturing

Register chemistries and categories at the point batteries are placed on the market. Compensation is reserved against the defined population; LOOBA arranges end-of-life treatment when due.

Module and pack assembly

Assemblers who are the producer under the Battery Regulation can use the same participation. You do not need in-house recycling capacity or a national scheme in every member state.

Passport layer

EPR is the base product. Passport operations are optional.

From 18 February 2027, LMT and EV batteries, and industrial batteries above 2 kWh, need an electronic record. That duty sits with the economic operator placing the battery on the market. LOOBA does not become the issuing authority.

You already have a passport host

Take EPR participation only. Share the unique identifier so the reserve, treatment and second-life events attach to the same battery. LOOBA does not replace your host.

You need operations as well

Add the optional module to the EPR contract: identifier and QR linkage, register upload, access layers and lifecycle updates, under your written authorisation. Delivered with a specialised operator — a short list, coupled on the identifier, not a LOOBA-built platform.
